Art Snak: Leaf Printing

Do you love the incredible shapes, veins, and textures found in leaves? Nature creates the most beautiful designs, and they make wonderful tools for creating.
In this Art Snak, I'll show you how to use leaves with a gel plate, acrylic paint, and a few simple techniques to create beautiful prints in your journal. You'll easily see how these same ideas can be translated to your mixed media paintings, collage, and other creative projects.
What’s Inside
Part I — Rubbings
Using an oil pastel crayon and paint with your leaves, we will create gorgeous pages with the most basic of supplies.
Part II - IV — Gel Plate
You’ll learn several methods for using the gel plate with your art journal and fresh leaves.
Part V — Making edits and using collage scraps
We’ll use some paint and collage scraps made from our brayed off paint papers to transform our journal pages.
